Carolyn is an accomplished ESL instructor with over 16 years of teaching English and culture classes to visiting Chinese scholars in the United States as well as private tutoring in China. She has 43 years of effective Speech Communications practiced in a multi-platform career including universities, institutions, corporations, churches and with children. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications and TESOL/TESL/TEFL 100-hour certification, Oxford Seminars.
Carolyn has extensive experience living, traveling, teaching and speaking abroad in over seven countries, including China’s Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kunming, Xi’an and several cities in Jilin Province. From her extensive travel and experience, she successfully navigates great cultural diversity in teaching adult language learners as well as children pursuing English study.
Carolyn has specifically designed curricula for language, North American culture, leadership, Biblical history and other purposes, for a total of over 850 students ranging in age from six to 60.
